Waiting

So,

He’s waiting for the day I get taken away

Off into a fairytale carriage for a marriage

Waiting for the day I get knocked up again

Just so he doesn’t have to feel like he’s caused any damage

He’s waiting for that day because he knows it’ll happen

And he lost out on that chance because he just didn’t grab them

He’s waiting for the invite to the christenings

But he knows if he turned up they wouldn’t let him in

He’s waiting so he can say I told you so, so he doesn’t feel bad for letting her go.

He’s waiting for the moment that she’s moved away, so he can secretly walk past her house again.
