You tried.

You tried to make a good man

Look like a monster

Yet he was kind

His heart seemed fine

Your soul inked with acid and coal, your cold so peoples memories you stole

You tried to make a decent man look like a villain

You tried to twist the truth to fit your own pursuit

You say you’ve been there you have a collection of funeral suits

Yet in waking lives you aren’t there and it’s words you fluke

You should be stripped of all honours and smiles

You should be banished from the soul of souls for miles

It ain’t my job, but it wasn’t yours

To try and make a decent man look like a monster.
