Going Places

The car rides where quick

I held my breath

I wondered where we would go next

Maybe that was just the honeymoon

That’s why it’s over so soon

I have the truth, burden of proof.

and I know when it’s cold enough it will snow,

But you never taught me how to handle a shit storm.

Buckle up, look out of the car window, going places, going places.

You sat opposite me and smiled

I’d seen you 24 hours before hand

Handed me a glass and shuffled about on your feet

I told you so many times to stop and take a seat.

I know when it’s cold enough, it’ll snow.

But you never taught me how to handle a shit storm
