Drama

He likes the drama

The shouting in the streets

The smashing of bottles in dim lit corners

I may struggle to set him free

He might choose that lifestyle over me

I have been warned

But I want to love him

Hold his inner child and see the man underneath

I can’t help it

Must be my instinct

I want to show him what happiness is and can be

But he wants the drama

The mad men in the street corners

Hitting up on heroin

The smell of fresh cut cannabis

People doing awful shit

He’s seen it

He knows it

That’s his familiarity

He identifies me as cruel to want to burry it

Like I’m taking away his candy

This man has dreams.

He likes the drama

The yelling of the peoples names he’ll never meet

He’s like a lion in the middle of a zoo

Just gently chewing on his bone

As the chaos all surrounds

He likes the sound

He likes the drama.

The cars zooming all around

The drug dealers

Homeless bodies on the ground

Bargain booze Stella beer

But I want to make him mine

I want to transform his life

I want to show him what happiness can be

I want to love him.

Set him free.

This is not how life should be

There is so much more for him to see

I want to love him

Set him free.
