No fixed abode

You welcome me into your home

Then throw me out into the cold

I am now homeless with no where to go

No fixed abode.

You feed me and give me therapy

You get me back on to my feet

From street crime and misery

No fixed abode.

I get swept into the windy rain

Standing on the corners to get paid

I need to by food again

No fixed abode.

Then you welcome me back into you home

And give me chance to grow and grow

Get back off the drugs and alcohol

No fixed abode.

How do I challenge this society

I never had a family

Where do you expect me to live?

You pass me off like I’m a naughty kid

I’m an adult and I’m willing to work

I’m an adult and I’m willing to be a good member of society

But you throw me back out on to the streets

With no fixed abode.
